Kosmon Sanctuary Group
The Kosmon Sanctuary groups work to be a contemporary expression of the ideals of the Kosmon tradition. If you would like more information on The Kosmon Sanctuary Group, please visit the Contact page and direct your question to the trustee, Anthony Deavin, who facilitates the group.
There are two main aspects of this work:
1. Ancient Knowledge
To discover and express Ancient Knowledge regarding the purpose of Man’s activity on earth. The Celtic Tradition of eight ceremonies held throughout the year, rich in a practical expression of ancient wisdom and earth connection, has provided many insights which support our group work.
2. Angelic Realms
To work with the angelic realm to support their work regarding the ongoing evolutionary process on earth.
Working with the Angelic realm takes place in The Sanctum, a special room of high energy. The quality of the group energy and the energy of The Sanctum provide the right conditions for angelic connection, as explained in a trance address by George Morley:
In this temple, you build up a body or sphere of light, and your loved ones in spirit can come to you because you are giving them conditions or vibrations which they can take unto themselves and so make closer contact with you. It is not easy, you know, to contact your plane from ours. But you can help greatly by providing the right conditions – the ritual, the prayers, the hymns, the chants, the melodies. Everything acts as a formula in producing the vibrations you offer.
Then brethren in spirit come down the rays of light sent by God to you, so that they may be united with you at your service. We want you. That is why we come to speak with you. We want to touch that little spiritual centre in the spiritual heart. We want to lead you to become a worker for the kingdom of light on earth. (A Path of Light, p. 38)
Traditional Kosmon Services
Dates: Last Sunday of each month
Times: 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm
These take the form of readings and prayers, first formulated in the mid-1920s, which honour the Creator and invoke connection with the angelic realm for the benefit of humanity. The services cover a variety of themes, eg, Evensong, Service for Children and Festival Service for the Four Seasons.
The Little School on the Green
The Kosmon Sanctuary is very happy to offer its unique facilities to support the education of children of all ages. The Little School on the Green, a local nursery school, is a regular user of our ancient woodland. This school is a Forest School. Forest Schools aim to promote learning and development in a natural environment where the children have direct contact with nature and the earth, away from the constraints of a building.
Other Groups
Other groups are organised by individuals who contact the booking officer via the contact page to book their day and time. Examples are: Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Chi Gong, Gong Bath with Lin Crane, Retreats, and Drumming in the woods.
