With its ancient woodland, gardens and buildings, The Kosmon Sanctuary is able to offer a rich variety of facilities which will nurture and enrich visitors on their spiritual journey.
The undulating ground and rich variety of trees of our beautiful ancient woodland offer ever changing vistas and surprises: some trees are very old, while the circles of yew trees, planted many years ago, invite the visitor to enter and experience a deep stillness. Any person or group wishing to be in contact with the natural world, for study, meditation, reflection or simply peaceful walking, will gain much from being here.
The gardens, which merge seamlessly with the woodland, have many beautiful specimen trees as well as two labyrinths for quiet reflection and an old orchard which has been extended to contain a wide range of fruit trees.
The comfortable and welcoming reception room, suitable for small groups, has tea/coffee making facilities, while the hall can seat 40 people comfortably for lectures, discussion groups and workshops. There is also a small reading room and a very special room, called The Sanctum, which is reserved for meditation and silence.
There is a small car park, large enough for small groups. Participants in larger groups are asked to park in the road outside the Walton Manor estate and walk up to Spinney Cottage, reserving parking for those with mobility problems. The gates to Walton Manor open automatically for cars; pedestrians just push a button.
